Dog in danger last chance to save life
We are a nation of dog lovers. So why is it that millions of dogs are being killed in shelters that are expected to provide these animals with a second chance at life?
Shelters are the last line for millions of innocent dogs. Most people have no idea of the magnitude of this national tragedy. The sad reality is that millions of dogs are killed each year in shelters. For far too long we have been told that there is no other way.
REASON FOR HOPE
believes in the power of compassion, and that Americans would do more to help and adopt shelter dogs, if only they knew how many dogs were being killed. Our ultimate goal is to see a day where healthy and treatable animals are no longer killed by their most trusted friends.The Pit Bull is the most common dog breed (along with pit bull breed mixes) found in shelters in the United States. They are also the most abused, and the most euthanized. Three strikes against them, the very moment they’re born.
