We are a nation of dog lovers. So why is it that millions of dogs are being killed in shelters that are expected to provide these animals with a second chance at life?

Shelters are the last line for millions of innocent dogs. Most people have no idea of the magnitude of this national tragedy. The sad reality is that millions of dogs are killed each year in shelters. For far too long we have been told that there is no other way.

They are also the most abused, and the most euthanized. Three strikes against them, the very moment they’re born.
